Brisighella
The village of the three hills: a fortress, a tower and a sanctuary above the rooftops.
Brisighella lies in the Lamone valley, twelve kilometres from Faenza. Above the village rise three chalk spurs with the Manfredi fortress, the Clock Tower and the Monticino sanctuary, linked by a path.
In the centre is the Via degli Asini, a raised covered street lit by half arches. A much-prized extra virgin olive oil is made here, and you can also come by train on the Faenza to Florence line.
Opening days, times and tickets change through the year: always check the official site before you set off.
