Beach clubs on the Riviera
Every beach club of the coast in one place: 1154 in 23 resorts, from the Lidi di Comacchio down to Fano. Pick a resort and you find the bagni in the order you meet them walking along the beach, with number, address, website and services.
Before you go to the beach
The bagno
In Romagna a beach club is called a bagno: umbrellas and sunbeds to rent, showers, changing cabins and a bar. Many also have a restaurant, a playground and beach volleyball courts.
The number
Along most of the coast every bagno has a number as well as a name. It is the easiest way to find it and to meet up on the beach.
Booking
In July and August it is worth booking your umbrella. You book on the bagno's website, by phone or right on the beach; you usually pay by the day, by the week or for the season.
Free beach
Between one bagno and the next there are stretches of free beach: you go in for free and bring your own umbrella, but there are none of the bagno's services.
The lifeguard
Swim where there is a lifeguard and check the flag: when it is red, you stay out of the water.
The season
Most bagni open from May to September. Some keep their bar and restaurant open out of season too: check their website.
The resorts, from north to south
In the order you find them along the coast, with the number of bagni of each.
Data from OpenStreetMap (ODbL), from the lists of the lifeguard cooperatives and tourist offices and from the bagni's own websites: services and prices as they write them.
