The "Ship of the Sun" leaves the canal harbour for the gas platforms offshore, sails down the coast to the Baia degli Angeli at Gabicce and in the evening goes to the markets of Cervia. It sails from late May to mid September.

Small, quiet boats, some of them electric: about two hours in the Comacchio lagoons among the old eel fishing stations, from Gorino to the old lighthouse and the Isola dell'Amore, the river mouth at Volano and a stretch of the great Po from Ferrara.

Houseboats that you drive along rivers and lagoons, with no licence, have no base in Romagna: the nearest ones are in Veneto, between Chioggia and the Po Delta.
