Romagna speaks 11 languages: a portal designed for foreign visitors

From English to Polish, from German to Danish: the languages were chosen by looking at where tourists come from.

The home page in German
The home page in German · High resolution

A German, Dutch or Norwegian tourist looking for things to do in Romagna often finds information only in Italian or at best in English. Romagna Tourism was created to change this.

The languages

The site is written in Italian, English, Spanish, French, German, Norwegian, Dutch, Portuguese, Swedish, Danish and Polish: the languages of the foreign visitors most present in Romagna. Each page has its own address in every language, so search engines show it to those searching in their own language.

Not just the menu

Events, places, castles, museums, routes, historical figures, legends, practical information on trains, flights and traffic, and even press releases from the Press Office are translated. Over 34,000 pages in total.

For foreign markets

For the foreign press, ENIT's overseas offices, Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad, Italian Cultural Institutes and Italian communities worldwide, the portal is a ready-made tool: a link to share, in the reader's language.

How to get here

A page for each language explains how to reach Romagna by plane, train, car or coach, with real-time departure boards from Bologna, Rimini and Forlì airports.

Automatic translation of the original Italian release.
