romagnatourism.it is now online, the new tourism portal dedicated to Romagna. An editorial project by Passione Turismo di Bacchini Alessandro, a Faenza-based entrepreneur in tourism and transport, who has brought together on a single site what today a tourist must search for across dozens of different pages.

What visitors find on the site

  • Events: over 1,400 appointments in the calendar, more than 460 in the next 30 days alone, from food festivals and village fêtes to concerts, exhibitions and guided tours.
  • Getting around in real time: departure and arrival boards for 32 railway stations in Romagna, airport flights, buses, traffic on main roads, restricted traffic zones and car parks.
  • Where to go: 185 municipalities described town by town, museums, castles, monuments, viewpoints, spas, parks, footpaths and cycle routes with maps.
  • Where to stay and eat: nearly 400 farm stays, over 1,100 beach establishments, markets, PDO and PGI products, wine routes and Romagna cookery courses.
  • Discovering Romagna: people born or who lived in Romagna, curiosities and legends, dialects town by town, crafts such as Faenza ceramics, rust-printed fabrics and Ravenna mosaics.
  • Useful services: tourist offices with opening times, weather, health, roadside assistance, left luggage and an assistant that answers visitors' questions.

Designed for foreign tourists

The site speaks 11 languages: Italian, English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Norwegian, Swedish and Danish, the languages of the foreign guests most present in Romagna. In all, over 34,000 pages, which update themselves: events, trains, flights and traffic change several times a day.

An opportunity for the area

Listing on the portal is free for local businesses: farm stays, beach establishments, museums, guides, hire services, workshops and associations. Those who cannot find their business can report it directly from the site, on the page "List your business": romagnatourism.it/inserisci-attivita

I wanted anyone arriving in Romagna, from Milan or from Oslo, to find in one place everything they need to experience the area: what's happening today, how to get there and what not to miss. Romagna deserves to be told well, and in all the languages of its guests.
