Ridracoli Dam

The lake among the forests that gives Romagna its water.

The dam, more than a hundred metres high, closes the river Bidente inside the Foreste Casentinesi park and supplies drinking water to much of Romagna. You walk along the crest, with the lake on one side and the drop on the other.

There are an eco-museum, paths along the shores and, in the warm season, trips by electric boat. You arrive from Santa Sofia; access is regulated, see the official site for days and times.
