Verucchio Fortress
The cradle of the Malatesta family, with a view from the Marecchia valley to the sea.
The Rocca del Sasso overlooks the village from a rocky spur: the fortunes of the Malatesta, lords of Rimini, began here. From the walls the view runs from the coast to San Marino and the Montefeltro hills.
In the village, the Archaeological Museum is worth a visit for its Villanovan grave goods and the amber found in the local necropolises.
