Tempio Malatestiano
Rimini's cathedral, an unfinished masterpiece of the Renaissance.
Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, lord of Rimini, had it rebuilt in the mid fifteenth century by Leon Battista Alberti, who designed the marble facade after the Roman arches. The work was never completed.
Inside you find the Crucifix by Giotto, a fresco by Piero della Francesca and the reliefs by Agostino di Duccio. Admission is free: it is a church, so avoid service times.
Opening days, times and tickets change through the year: always check the official site before you set off.
