Bridge of Tiberius

Rimini's Roman bridge: two thousand years old and still crossed every day.

Begun under Augustus in AD 14 and finished under Tiberius in AD 21, it has five arches of Istrian stone and marks the start of the Via Emilia and the Via Popilia. It is one of the best preserved Roman bridges in the world.

Across the bridge lies Borgo San Giuliano, the old fishermen's quarter with its coloured houses and murals dedicated to Fellini. In the evening the bridge is mirrored in the basin below: the best moment to see it.
