Towns and villages

Marradi

The town of chestnuts and of the poet Dino Campana, in the Apennines.

Marradi is in Tuscany but looks towards Romagna: it lies in the Lamone valley, on the Romagna side of the Apennines. The poet Dino Campana, author of the Canti Orfici, was born here.

It is famous for its chestnuts, celebrated with the chestnut festival on October Sundays. You can also get here by train, on the line linking Faenza and Florence.
