Towns and villages
Dozza
The village of painted walls, with its fortress and the regional wine cellar.
On the hills between Imola and Bologna, Dozza is an open-air museum: since the 1960s the artists of the Painted Wall Biennale have left their works directly on the houses, and today there are about a hundred.
At the end of the village stands the fortress, open to visitors, whose cellars house the Regional Wine Cellar of Emilia-Romagna, with wines from the whole region.
Opening days, times and tickets change through the year: always check the official site before you set off.
